The Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID) is a biennial international congress that brings together leading experts, researchers, clinicians, and policy-makers in the field of pediatric infectious diseases. ACPID serves as a critical platform to exchange the latest scientific knowledge, clinical practices, and public-health strategies related to infections in children across Asia.
Pediatric infectious diseases remain a significant cause of morbidity and mortality among children worldwide, particularly in developing and densely populated regions across Asia. The rapid emergence of new infectious agents, the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance, and the unequal distribution of healthcare access continue to pose serious challenges to pediatric healthcare systems. These challenges encompass a wide spectrum, including vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD), neglected tropical diseases (NTD), emerging and re-emerging diseases (AMS), as well as the urgent need for stronger antimicrobial stewardship and infection control (IC) measures. In response to these pressing issues, the Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID) serves as a vital platform for healthcare professionals, researchers, policy-makers, and stakeholders to come together and share the latest scientific knowledge, clinical advancements, and public health strategies related to pediatric infectious diseases.
Now entering its 12th edition, The Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases 2026 will be held in Bandung, Indonesia, from August 14–16, 2026, hosted by the Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI) in collaboration with the Asian Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ASPID). This congress is also held in close collaboration with the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Pediatric Society and its West Java Branch, highlighting a strong joint commitment to advancing pediatric care through shared expertise and organizational synergy. The congress aims to foster meaningful dialogue, strengthen regional collaboration, and promote innovation in both clinical practice and research. Bandung, known for its academic vibrancy, cultural richness, and culinary diversity, provides an ideal setting for this international gathering. Through plenary lectures, symposia, interactive workshops, and poster sessions, ACPID 2026 invites participants from across the region and beyond to engage, learn, and contribute to the advancement of pediatric infectious disease care in Asia.
